Probably too much movement in it. Seems like that river is boiling up.

If you want to make it work better, you should also add some wind in the tree back there. It might look odd if it's the water is the only thing moving in the picture.

It always seem that your characters carry more than they can handle, getting crushed by the burden of the task put upon them. You have a skilled way to convey that contrast.
